LTX, the leader in open video generation models, and Asteria, an artist-led production company redefining cinematic storytelling, are forming a strategic partnership that sets the bar for AI-enabled solutions in high-caliber filmmaking. By combining Asteria's deep expertise in the creative space with LTX's flexible training approach, the two companies are addressing a key need for the filmmaking community by closing the technical gap between AI video and professional production. With LTX serving as the generative engine behind Asteria's AI-driven creative production, the collaboration enables premium-hybrid outputs that establish the blueprint for a new medium of storytelling.
At the foundation of the partnership is LTX's powerful open weights model, LTX-2.3, which enables Asteria to bring an entirely new level of flexibility and customization to the filmmaking process. LTX open weights models can be run locally allowing Asteria to securely train and fine-tune the model on specific IP to deliver the deeply creative and consistent work that its clients have come to expect from traditional workflows.

Asteria and LTX are already putting their approach into practice. On the Tribeca-selected short animated film ChikaBOOM!, Asteria used LTX's HDR IC-LoRA to integrate hand-drawn 2D, CG, and AI animation together, upscaling generated assets into scene-linear 16-bit HDR for a final deliverable that holds up on a festival screen. ChikaBOOM! premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday, June 6, and screens again on Saturday, June 13.

Part of what drew Asteria to LTX is community engagement. Since LTX-2 launched on Hugging Face in January 2026, it's been downloaded more than 10 million times, making it the most-used open weights AI model in the industry. This community consists of colorists, VFX supervisors, and even directors, who are actively reinventing what the model is capable of. Asteria's production work will now help to do the same by creating a feedback loop that informs future capabilities and toolsets that the broader filmmaking community can use.
Together, Asteria and LTX will continue to define how AI generated assets fit into cinematic workflows, from short-form festival work like ChikaBOOM! to feature-length productions and episodic content.
