Generate and edit on your own hardware: text-to-video, Extend, LoRA / IC-LoRA, image editing, Enhance, and a model manager. After setup, local generation does not need the cloud. Stop a run mid-way.
No per-generation pricing, ever. Pay for your hardware once — not for every render.
Footage, prompts, and outputs stay on your machine. No forced data transfers or external egress. Anonymous analytics (app version, platform, a random install ID — never content) are on by default and can be turned off in Settings → General → Anonymous Analytics.
LTX Desktop is fully open source under Apache 2.0 free for the community to use, fork, and build on.
Run LTX Desktop within your own infrastructure. Designed for those that value privacy and operational control.
Generate as many generations at a time as you would like, and view progress/cancel generations in queue.
LTX Desktop is built on the same production-ready multimodal engine, LTX-2.5. Designed to be built on. Sharper detail. Stronger motion. Cleaner audio. Native portrait support. All running locally on your hardware. Learn about LTX-2.5 →
Run LTX Desktop on your own compute with full access to model weights. No internet required. No cost per generation. Install, modify, and deploy on your own infrastructure. Free for individuals and companies under $10M in annual revenue.
Run LTX Desktop with API as the backend. Faster generation, no local compute required, and always on the latest model — no manual updates, no model management. Everything the Desktop experience offers, without needing the hardware to back it.
Licensing
The app is Apache 2.0 — no revenue threshold, no restrictions. The model weights are governed by the LTX-2.x Community License Agreement — free for commercial use under $10M annual revenue; above that, a commercial licence applies.
Installation Guide
LTX Desktop runs locally on supported hardware. Below are the system requirements and step-by-step instructions to get started.
Internet connection required for initial setup. Below these thresholds the app switches to API mode automatically.
Go to the LTX Desktop Releases page and download the latest version:
Double-click the .exe file and follow the installation wizard. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click “More info” → “Run anyway.”
Open the .dmg file and drag LTX Desktop into your Applications folder. If macOS shows a security warning, right-click the app → Open, then confirm.
Install the .deb with your package manager, or mark the .AppImage executable and run it.

The LTX-2.5 weights are gated. On first launch you'll be prompted to sign in to Hugging Face and accept the LTX-2.x Community License Agreement before the download can start.
Before you can generate video you need one of two things: an LTX API key (recommended) — cloud text encoding is completely free, speeds up inference and saves memory. Generate a key at console.ltx.video. Or a local text encoder — an extra ~26GB download for fully offline operation, enabled from Settings.

After setup, launches are immediate. Models are stored locally on your machine.
Generation runs locally on the GPU via MPS.
